2017 Reading List

In 2016, one of my goals was to read 30 books. (Which I did!)

It was hard and fun and most recently, confusing, because I’ve been trying to recommend one of the books I particularly loved to a friend, but can’t remember which one it is because they’ve all started to blend together. This, however, has not stopped me from continuing to read, leading me to believe that the answer is continuing to get buried and will probably never be found. Bummer.

For this year, I don’t have a specific goal in mind for how many I want to read—mostly because I’ve set 17 other goals for myself, which leave little more than my lunch break and nights of insomnia to set aside for reading—but I’m still curious how many I’ll end up with, so I’m going to keep a list*.

*Note: This list is primarily for informative purposes, but has undeniable roots in a writer’s knowledge that promo is important, and I’m hoping the karma gods notice.

  1. Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum
  2. Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick
  3. The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
  4. When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi
