I was very excited and honored to receive a nomination for the Versatile Blogger Award this past weekend from Anne Leueen, a.k.a Horse Addict. It’s my first ever nomination for anything! Well, except, “Most Likely to Become a Team Mom” from my softball team in 10th grade, when I was 15 going on 35. And while I know it’s tradition for a first-time nominee to make that long walk up to the stage and then get lost and then almost fall on the stairs and then stand up there and pant graciousness until the band starts blaring over them and then start crying as they hug the presenter and then get lost again, I’m going to try and keep it brief. First off, thank you Anne Leueen! You are lovely.
Second, I’ve been informed I’m supposed to list 7 Random Facts About Me, so let’s dive on in!
- I have a pink birth mark on the middle finger of my left hand that everyone mistakes for a burn.
- I always, ALWAYS return the shopping cart to the designated shopping cart area.
- I still tie my shoes using the “bunny ears” method because I was never able to graduate to the loop, swoop and pull.
- I collect post cards, sand, and old cameras.
- It’s on my bucket list to visit all 50 states. (20 down, 30 to go!)
- I love just about every sport there is.
- I constantly fall behind on television shows and then get annoyed when people want to discuss them around me. (You know, because I suck.)
Third, here are 15 bloggers that I love and you should too:
- Regina Bartlett
- The Bloggess
- Dalindcy
- Magpie in the City
- The Roar Sessions
- Storyshucker
- Sure Scribbles
- Sneakers on Pavement
- Nooks&Crannies
- okaaythen.com
- Breaking Moulds
- thepathtocreativity
- Telling the Truth
- Living and Learning
- The Other Norway
Finally, it is my job to pass the baton (a.k.a the rules).
“To all those nominated, (if you choose to accept this great power and great responsibility), please thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog, give seven random facts about yourself, nominate 15 other bloggers whose work you enjoy and link to them to notify them and allow others to find them.”
Thanks again to Anna Leueen! Happy Monday to all and to all a quick work week!
